Indoor percussion is a marching band that utilizes the battery and pit sections of the group and performs inside during the winter months. Bands choreograph routines to provide audiences with a moving visual experience that tells a story based on the selected music. Groups use marimbas, guitars, keyboards, cymbals, drums and an array of non traditional percussion instruments. –wiseGEEK.
Open to all, the Winter Percussion Ensemble is a co-curricular program focused on education and performance opportunities of all areas related to percussion. The ensemble does not limit itself to one specific genre as it always attempts to explore traditional and non-traditional music from classical, jazz and rock-and everything in between.
The season begins in late November and runs all the way until late April-May.
The staff includes: Tim Sepe, Ben Tileston, Andy Kim, Cullen Ryan, Allison Passanissi, Rick Vale and other various educators.
